A long, long time ago, the Warrior Games were devised. These Games test the will, strength, speed, and survival abilities of Clan cats. What's the story behind them, though? Why would Warrior cats want Hunger Games? Well, there is, of course, a story behind this...
One leader, a she-cat named Blizzardstar, who ruled over FernClan, thought that the cats of the Clans were, over the generations, becoming just like kittypets. They were growing pudgy, boring, and downright lazy. No cat cared about following the code or feared the consequences of breaking it. The leaders were far too uncaring about everything to make war against another Clan. There hadn't been a battle since Blizzardstar was a kitten, and she longed for spilled blood.
Blizzardstar's hysterical mind created the Warrior Games. These Games are done once a moon. The participants, location, and events of each moon's Warrior Games are announced at the gathering, and the cats are led by Blizzardstar to the location right away.
Over the years, there have been many, many different events. There have been fights to the death, competitions in which the cats have had to obtain the largest collection of prey (which, yes, does result in a pretty large bloodbath if one truly wishes to win), and then there have been the events held during deadly leafbare where it's the survival of the fluffiest. The Games didn't always last a single moon, either. Some went on for several moons while new Games were emerging, and when a winner from an old Game finally returned to their Clan, the cats had long since given up hope on ever seeing them again/
The cats of the Clans thought this idea was wonderful at first, as they thought it would generate entertainment and friendliness among the Clans. As time went by, and the Games continued every moon, the cats realized how competitive and deadly the Games were growing. Blizzardstar's plan was unfolding perfectly, and though the Games have long since evolved from when she first created them, in the end, it was all just Blizzardstar's plot to fulfill her bloodlust.
